Product Features
This pump is designed with variable operating characteristics—low-pressure, high-flow at part load and high-pressure, low-flow at full load—to accommodate the entire pressure profile encountered in a filter press, from an empty filter chamber to one fully packed with filter cake, thereby preventing damage to the filter plates caused by excessive pressure. The wet-end components, including the impeller and pump casing, are typically fabricated from wear-resistant materials such as high-chromium cast iron and wear-resistant alloys, enabling them to withstand the abrasive and corrosive effects of slurries, sludges, and chemical waste residues.
