Implementation of energy efficiency standards drives the green transformation of the pump industry.
Domestic energy-efficiency standards for pump products are continuously updated and refined. For categories such as clear-water centrifugal pumps and industrial circulation pumps, specific energy-consumption limits and tiered performance requirements have been established to guide the industry in adjusting its product mix. Following the implementation of these regulations, aging equipment that fails to meet the prescribed energy-efficiency criteria is being progressively replaced in municipal renovation projects and industrial upgrading initiatives. In response, manufacturers are optimizing the hydraulic component design, fine-tuning motor-matching strategies, and integrating variable-frequency drive control to enhance energy efficiency during equipment operation. Water utilities, industrial parks, and large public buildings are also gradually replacing existing outdated pump sets, thereby reducing overall system energy consumption through equipment modernization. The combined influence of policy guidance and market demand is prompting the pump manufacturing sector to recalibrate its production focus, placing greater emphasis on energy conservation and operational-condition optimization, and thus supporting the low-carbon transformation of both upstream and downstream industries.
